Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sandesh, the independent developer who makes and runs HealthFork ("we", "us"), for your use of the HealthFork app and service. By creating an account or using HealthFork, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. HealthFork is not medical advice

HealthFork gives general wellness information: estimated calorie, macro, water and step targets, diet plans, recipes and home workouts. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. Targets are estimates based on standard formulas and the information you enter, and nutrition values are approximate.

Allergies: allergen warnings are detected automatically from ingredient and food names and may be incomplete or wrong, because recipes, brands and restaurant dishes vary. Always check ingredient labels and ask when eating out. Never rely on HealthFork alone to avoid an allergen, and follow your allergy action plan in an emergency.

Talk to a doctor before changing your diet or exercise if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition (such as diabetes, heart, kidney or thyroid conditions), take medication, have or have had an eating disorder, or are under 18. Stop exercising and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You may add household members; if any are under 18, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and will supervise their use. Keep your login details secure, give accurate information, and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Subscriptions and payments

HealthFork is free to use, with optional Premium features (diet plans, recipes and guided workouts).

• Plans: Monthly, Annual (both auto-renewing) and Lifetime (a one-time purchase). Prices are shown in the app and in your app store before you buy, including any local taxes.
• Free trial: new accounts get a 7-day free trial of Premium, once per account. If you start a Monthly or Annual plan with a trial, you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
• Renewal and cancellation: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app or your HealthFork account does not cancel a store subscription by itself.
• Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies. Where the law gives you additional rights, those still apply.
• Lifetime: gives you Premium for as long as we operate HealthFork. It is tied to your account and is not transferable.
• Price changes: we'll notify you in advance of any price change to an active subscription, and you can cancel before it applies.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse HealthFork: don't try to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with or reverse-engineer the service, bypass Premium restrictions, use automated tools to scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.

5. Your content

The information you log belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide HealthFork to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete it at any time.

6. Our content

The app, its design, recipes, workouts, food database and text are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them in the app for your own non-commercial use.

7. Changes and availability

We keep improving HealthFork and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the service available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If we make significant changes to these terms, we will tell you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use HealthFork after that means you accept the updated terms.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using HealthFork and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and will tell you why where we're allowed to.

9. Liability

HealthFork is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any health outcome resulting from following the app's estimates, plans or workouts, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, unless the consumer laws of the country where you live give you the right to bring a claim there.
